The Men’s T20 has got just another record added as Argentina’s seamer, Hernan Fennell, joined an elite group of players by claiming a double hat-trick during his side’s match against the Cayman Islands in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Americas Qualifier. Fennell achieved the remarkable feat by taking four wickets in four consecutive deliveries in the final over of the Cayman Islands’ innings. This made him the sixth player in men’s T20I history to complete a double hat-trick.

Fennell’s four wickets came in quick succession, starting with Troy Taylor, followed by Alistair Ifill, Ronald Ebanks, and Alessandro Morris. In addition, Fennell became the sixth player in men’s T20I history to take multiple hat-tricks, having previously achieved the feat in 2021 against Panama. Despite his stellar performance, Argentina could not capitalize, getting all out for just 94 in reply to the Cayman Islands 116.
