Since marrying in 2020, Chahal and Dhanashree have become a popular couple in the media and entertainment world. They gained significant attention on social media. Dhanashree, wife of the IPL’s highest wicket-taker, also participated in a dance reality show, where she reached the finals.
She spoke about the mental stress caused by social media in recent weeks on her Instagram story. She said that comments about her character would never change who she truly is. She also mentioned that the truth always prevails and doesn’t need any justification. She said:
The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. Chahal was bought by Punjab Kings for INR 18 crore in the IPL mega auction. This will be his fourth franchise, as he was released by Rajasthan Royals. Chahal joined Rajasthan in 2022 and helped them reach the finals. They were eliminated in the IPL 2024 Eliminator by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
