Cricket Australia Wishes Indian Fans a Happy Holi with Special World Cup Trophy Tour

With the festival of Holi bringing vibrant celebrations, Cricket Australia extended warm wishes by organizing a special 2023 World Cup trophy tour in Melbourne on March 14. Fans got the chance to take selfies with the trophy while also receiving Big Bash League (BBL) and Women’s BBL merchandise, highlighting the board’s commitment to inclusivity. Australia, under Pat Cummins’ captaincy, won the 2023 ICC World Cup by defeating India in the final.

Mitchell Starc starred with three wickets, restricting India to 240 runs. During the chase, Travis Head’s heroic 137 off 120 balls led Australia to a comfortable victory, securing their sixth World Cup title with seven overs to spare. This initiative by Cricket Australia added a unique touch to Holi celebrations, allowing fans to relive the team’s triumph while promoting cricket’s global appeal.
