For the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025, Australia has announced a 15-member squad to face South Africa at Lord’s from June 11 to 16. The reigning champions, who defeated India in the 2023 final, will aim to defend their title in what will be their second consecutive WTC final appearance. Skipper Pat Cummins and pace bowler Josh Hazlewood make a crucial return after missing the Sri Lanka series. Cameron Green also rejoins the squad after a year-long absence due to a back injury.
Australia’s selection committee, led by George Bailey, expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to retain the WTC title. Bailey highlighted the team’s strong finish in the WTC cycle, including a historic Test series win over India and a recent victory in Sri Lanka. Emerging players Sam Konstas and Beau Webster have been included, while Brendan Doggett is named as a traveling reserve.
