In an amusing turn of events during the first Test between India and Australia at Brisbane, cricket fans witnessed Virat Kohli nearly reach the crease before being halted by an unexpected no-ball call. The incident occurred after Australian pacer Scott Boland bowled a length delivery that caught KL Rahul’s edge and sent it straight into the keeper’s gloves.
Initially, the on-field umpire declared Rahul out, and the Indian opener began walking back to the pavilion. Kohli, who appeared eager to take to the field on one of his favorite venues, had already stepped out of the dressing room and was near the boundary line. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the umpire signaled a no-ball, confirming that Boland had overstepped. The decision granted Rahul a second chance and prevented Kohli from proceeding further.
