After being sent to bat, the Strikers posted a competitive 165/6 in 20 overs. D’Arcy Short starred with a crucial 60 off 42 balls, hitting eight fours and two sixes, while Alex Ross contributed 35 off 26 balls.
Adam Milne and Peter Siddle impressed with the ball for the Stars, each taking two wickets at an economy rate of 8.00 and 5.25, respectively. In reply, the Stars managed 150/9, falling short of the target despite Sam Harper’s valiant 48 off 44 balls. Marcus Stoinis provided a brisk 27 off 19, but the middle and lower order faltered.
