The 31-year-old leg-spinner, son of cricket legend Abdul Qadir, previously announced his retirement in October 2024 due to a lack of opportunities in Pakistan. However, he has now shifted to New South Wales, Australia, to pursue domestic cricket and explore new opportunities.
Qadir, who made his international debut for Pakistan in 2020, has represented the country in 25 T20Is and has taken 32 wickets. He has also played in the Big Bash League for teams like Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder. Qadir’s decision is driven by his desire to continue playing cricket at a professional level.
