In the Abu Dhabi T10 League, there was a funny incident for the fans as Faf du Plessis had a narrow escape from injury during a match while playing for Morrison Samp Army against the Delhi Bulls. In an attempt to stop a shot by Tim David, which was heading towards extra cover, Du Plessis failed to prevent the ball from reaching the boundary ropes. As the ball boy eagerly waited to collect the ball, he became an unexpected obstacle for Du Plessis, whose momentum was carrying him toward the boundary boards.
As Du Plessis tried to avoid the collision, the ball boy unexpectedly stood up at the wrong moment, causing Du Plessis to vault over his body. This resulted in the ball boy inadvertently “suplexing” Du Plessis in a WWE-style move, sending him flying over the advertising boards. Du Plessis thankfully avoided a serious injury by landing on the other side of the board.
Although Du Plessis appeared stunned initially, he quickly recovered and returned to the field, visibly upset with the risk the ball boy had put both of them in. The incident was captured on video, which later made its way onto social media, where fans shared mixed reactions, finding humor in the unexpected mishap.
